# Meta Verified

Meta Verified for Business is a paid monthly subscription that gives a business on WhatsApp a verified badge (a blue checkmark), impersonation protection and account support. It is subscribed to from the WhatsApp Business app.

The verified badge on WhatsApp is now a blue checkmark, the same design Meta uses on Facebook and Instagram; the former green tick is gone. A badge means Meta has verified the account, either because it belongs to a notable brand or because it subscribed to Meta Verified and passed the checks. Subscribing does not automatically grant the badge.

According to WhatsApp's Help Center, the subscription comes in several plans, depending on eligibility and market. Business Standard includes a verified badge, impersonation protection and in-app support; Business Plus adds prioritized support and further features. The option appears under Settings or Business Tools in the WhatsApp Business app when it is available to the account.

The badge is a trust marker, not a performance lever: it does not change messaging limits or message pricing. Businesses on the WhatsApp Business Platform (the API) follow a different route, the Official Business Account request, which is not a subscription.
