A Shopify CRM keeps what you know about each customer in one place: orders, spend, tags, conversations and the next follow-up. Shopify's admin already stores customer profiles and segments, so a CRM app earns its place when it does more with that data: it puts the data next to every conversation, shares it with your team, or triggers the right message at the right moment. Every app in this list works with your Shopify customer data. The differences are where your team works (a chat inbox, a helpdesk, an email platform or a sales CRM), which channels reach your customers, and how the price grows.
Our pick for most Shopify brands is Kanal, a WhatsApp CRM for e-commerce. Each contact profile shows Shopify order history, total spend, tags and past conversations, your team works from one shared WhatsApp inbox, and follow-ups start from customer events such as a first order, a VIP purchase or 60 days of inactivity. Below we compare Kanal with eleven apps: marketing platforms with customer profiles, helpdesks, a clienteling CRM, a pipeline CRM, and the HubSpot and Salesforce sync apps. Our WhatsApp CRM page shows how Kanal works, our best WhatsApp CRM comparison covers tools beyond the App Store, and our ecommerce CRM comparison looks at CRMs for online stores on any platform.
How We Compared the 12 Apps
We read each app's Shopify App Store listing on September 11, 2026, including the full Pricing section, and compared the same points for all of them: what a customer profile holds, the segmentation the listing describes, the channels that reach your customers, how Shopify data gets in, and the price of the free and entry plans. We also read Shopify's help center on customer profiles and segments, HubSpot's knowledge base on its Shopify data sync and Gorgias's help center on its customer timeline. Ratings and review counts are the ones shown on each listing that day. We kept apps that are live on the App Store and have a real CRM function: customer profiles, segmentation, sales pipelines or customer data sync. Kanal is our own app and comes first. The other apps are ordered by number of Shopify reviews. Plans and prices change often, so check the listing before you install.

Does Shopify Have a Built-in CRM?
Shopify's admin covers the basics. According to Shopify's help center, every customer who places an order is added to your customer list. Each customer profile holds orders and draft orders, contact details, notes, tags, email, SMS and WhatsApp marketing settings, and a timeline of events such as the emails you sent. Customer segments are dynamic, rule-based lists: you combine filters such as amount spent, number of orders, location or subscription status, and customers enter or leave the segment automatically. Shopify also offers a predicted spend tier.
That is a solid customer database, and for a small store it can be enough. A CRM app adds what happens around the data: the conversation next to the order, a team that shares the inbox, a pipeline for larger deals, and follow-ups triggered by customer events. Shopify's own CRM integration guide points to the App Store for that layer. It names HubSpot, Salesforce sync apps, Zoho CRM and Endear, and calls Klaviyo Shopify's CRM partner for over a decade. Kanal adds a WhatsApp layer on the same Shopify data, so the customer profile, the conversation and the automation sit in one place.
What to Look for in a Shopify CRM App
A CRM only pays off if your team opens it every day. A few points decide whether it will.
- Where your team works. Pick the app that sits where customer conversations already happen: a WhatsApp inbox, a helpdesk, an email platform or a sales CRM.
- Shopify data sync. Check which records sync (customers, orders, products, abandoned checkouts), how fast and in which direction. HubSpot's knowledge base, for example, says records sync within 10 minutes of a change and orders sync one way from Shopify.
- The customer profile. Order history, total spend, tags and past conversations on one screen, so nobody asks a customer to repeat themselves.
- Segments you can act on. Shopify segments already filter by amount spent, orders or location. A CRM app should turn a segment into a campaign or a flow.
- Channels and team features. WhatsApp, live chat and social inboxes bring the conversation into the profile. Look for assignment, internal notes, quick replies and, for high-ticket or B2B sales, pipelines with stages.
- Automation from Shopify events. A new order, a high-value purchase or an inactive customer should trigger the next message without anyone exporting a list.
- How the price grows. Plans scale with contacts (Klaviyo), tickets (Gorgias), users (Kustomer), synced orders (Salesforce Sync) or AI messages (Wizybot). Price your next twelve months, not your first.
Five Types of Shopify CRM Apps
"CRM" covers very different tools on the App Store. Knowing which type you need narrows the list quickly.
| Type | How it works | Apps in this list |
|---|---|---|
| WhatsApp and chat CRM | Customer profiles live inside the inbox where your team talks to customers | Kanal, Wizybot, Kommo |
| Marketing CRM | Profiles and segments feed email, SMS and WhatsApp campaigns and flows | Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign, edrone |
| Service CRM | Order data sits next to each ticket, so agents answer with context | Gorgias, Kustomer |
| Sales CRM sync | Shopify customers and orders flow into the CRM your sales team already uses | HubSpot, Salesforce Sync by CRM Perks |
| Clienteling and alerts | Store associates or owners are told which customer to contact next | Endear, Scout CRM |
You can combine two types, for example a marketing CRM for email and a conversation CRM for WhatsApp. If you do, sync segments between them so each customer gets one coherent sequence: Klaviyo segments sync to Kanal, and Gorgias users keep handling WhatsApp conversations in their helpdesk. Our guide on how to use WhatsApp as a CRM walks through the setup on Shopify.
The 12 Best Shopify CRM Apps
#1 Kanal WhatsApp, a WhatsApp CRM built on your Shopify data
Kanal is a WhatsApp CRM for e-commerce brands. It syncs your Shopify customers, orders and tags automatically, so each contact profile shows order history, total spend, tags and past conversations before anyone replies. Several agents share one WhatsApp Business number in the team inbox: they assign conversations, add internal notes and use quick replies, with the Shopify order next to the chat. Segments group customers by purchase history, order value, tags and location, and Klaviyo segments sync in too. Follow-ups start automatically from customer events such as a first order, a VIP purchase or 60 days of inactivity, and an AI assistant answers 24/7 in more than 96 languages before handing off with the context. Kanal runs on the official WhatsApp Business API and is rated 5/5 on the Shopify App Store. Pro costs $89/month with 1 user, the inbox, cart recovery and campaigns; segments and the AI agent are not part of Pro. Scale costs $149/month with 5 users and segments, and WhatsApp fees are passed through at cost. See the WhatsApp CRM page.
#2 Klaviyo, customer profiles and AI segments for email, SMS and WhatsApp
Klaviyo is a marketing platform, and Shopify's CRM integration guide calls it Shopify's CRM partner for over a decade. Its listing says it syncs Shopify data in milliseconds, so profiles and segments reflect what is happening in your store right now, and it unifies data from 350+ integrations. You build AI-powered segments and flow triggers from historical and real-time data, then reach customers by email, SMS, WhatsApp, mobile push and pop-ups, with automated workflows from Klaviyo's AI agents. Customer Hub and Customer Agent aim to turn service moments into shopping moments, and the email plan adds predictive analytics. Email is free up to 250 contacts and SMS up to 150 credits. Paid plans start at $15/month for SMS (up to 1,250 credits) and $20/month for email (251 to 500 contacts), and grow with your list. Rated 4.7/5 from 3,290 reviews, Klaviyo is worth a look if email and SMS drive your marketing and you want segments built on live Shopify data. Kanal's Klaviyo integration, on the Scale plan, sends Klaviyo segments to WhatsApp campaigns.
#3 Gorgias, customer history and Shopify orders next to every ticket
Gorgias is an e-commerce helpdesk with a conversational AI layer. Its listing describes one unified inbox for email, chat, social, voice and SMS, an AI Agent that resolves support end to end, an AI Shopping Assistant that recommends products, 100+ integrations and analytics that turn conversations into insights. The CRM part is the customer timeline: Gorgias's help center explains that it shows ticket history and Shopify order data, with each order's number, status, date, total and item count, so agents answer with context. Tagging, chat assignment and multi-store support are in the feature list, while customer segmentation is not. Starter costs $10/month (3 agents, 50 tickets, $0.40 per extra ticket), Basic $60/month (300 tickets, unlimited agents), Pro $360/month (2,000 tickets) and Advanced $900/month (5,000 tickets), each with a 7-day free trial. Rated 4.3/5 from 705 reviews, Gorgias is worth a look if support is where most of your customer conversations happen. Kanal's Gorgias integration brings WhatsApp into the same workflow.
#4 ActiveCampaign, marketing automation with a CRM included
ActiveCampaign describes itself as an autonomous marketing platform, and its Shopify listing includes a CRM from the first paid plan. The app sends real-time store data to ActiveCampaign, triggers abandoned cart and post-purchase emails, and personalizes email, SMS and WhatsApp messages with purchase data. Goal-aware automations run on Active Intelligence, and the platform connects to 950+ apps. Segmentation, tagging, site tracking and order status triggers appear in its features. The Shopify integration is available from Starter at $19/month ($180/year), which includes the CRM, site tracking, abandoned cart and SMS. Plus costs $59/month, Pro $89/month (with the Shopify Plus integration) and Enterprise $159/month (custom objects, 5 users included), each with a 14-day free trial. Rated 4.5/5 from 259 reviews, ActiveCampaign is worth a look if you want email automation and a CRM in one subscription.
#5 Wizybot, an AI chatbot with a CRM inbox across channels
Wizybot combines an AI chatbot and a CRM helpdesk. It pulls live chat, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, email and TikTok into one inbox and builds what the listing calls a single CRM view of your shoppers. AI agents handle orders, refunds, FAQs and product recommendations in your brand's tone and reply to social comments, and a CRM-powered WhatsApp marketing module runs automated flows for repeat purchases. Tagging, chat assignment and customer insights are in the feature list, while segmentation is not. The free plan includes 30 AI messages, 30 AI comments and partial access to the CRM. Basic costs $69.99/month with full CRM access, unlimited users, 1,250 AI messages and 2,500 AI comments, then $0.07 per extra AI message, and a Personalized plan costs $150/month. The app is available in English, Spanish and Brazilian Portuguese. Rated 4.6/5 from 167 reviews, Wizybot is worth a look if you want AI replies and a CRM inbox for social channels in one tool.
#6 Scout CRM, alerts that tell you which customer to call
Scout CRM, listed as Scout CRM (Shop Phone) by HMS Commerce, works like an automated assistant for personal follow-up. Its main job is to alert you who to call and when: abandoned checkouts, VIP and repeat customers, new customers and buyers of selected products. It also automates abandoned checkout and thank-you emails, and it works with Slack, WhatsApp, Gorgias, Airtable and iPhone and Android phones. The free plan covers VIP, repeat, follow-up and new customer alerts, with a limit of 100 abandoned checkout alerts in total. Basic costs $9/month (unlimited alerts and team members, live checkout creation alerts, automatic emails) and Pro $29/month (low inventory, product purchase and tag alerts, phone support). Segmentation is not part of the listing. On the App Store since 2017 and rated 4.6/5 from 76 reviews, Scout CRM is worth a look if your team wants to call high-value customers personally.
#7 edrone, an e-commerce CRM with email, SMS and WhatsApp automation
edrone presents itself as a CRM and marketing automation platform built for e-commerce. Each contact gets a 360 customer profile with behavior analytics and shopping journey data, and segmentation feeds campaigns by email, SMS and WhatsApp. More than 20 ready-to-use automation scenarios cover the classic flows, from cart and browse abandonment to win-back and back-in-stock emails, and an AI newsletter creator writes campaigns. The platform also includes AI Sales Chat, a 24/7 virtual sales assistant that recommends products, and product review collection with display widgets. The listing shows a free plan and one paid plan, edrone basic, at $49/month. The app is available in Polish, English, Portuguese and Spanish. Rated 4.7/5 from 30 reviews, edrone is worth a look if you want customer profiles, automation and reviews from a single vendor.
#8 Kustomer, an AI CRM for customer service
Kustomer presents its Shopify app as an AI CRM for customer service. The listing describes a holistic view of customer data, with a full view of each customer's orders pulled from Shopify, order search inside Kustomer, and refunds or cancellations processed straight from the Kustomer timeline. Agents answer across live chat, email, SMS, voice and social media, personalize messages with shortcuts and send automated updates with chatbot templates. Integrations include Aircall, ChannelReply, Klaviyo, Loop and Recharge among 40+, and the app is available in ten languages. The app is free to install, and Kustomer costs from $89 per user per month on Enterprise and $139 per user per month on Ultimate. Segmentation is not part of the listing. Rated 5/5 from 24 reviews, Kustomer is worth a look if you run a larger support team and want the customer timeline at the center of it.
#9 Endear, a clienteling CRM for brands with stores
Endear describes itself as the CRM built for omnichannel brands, designed around how store teams work. Unified customer profiles bring orders, loyalty and customer service data into one view, and dynamic segmentation groups customers by behavior, location, spend or custom attributes. Its AI Opportunity Engine turns that data into a prioritized outreach queue that tells each associate who to contact and why. Outreach goes out by email, SMS and WhatsApp with every message tracked, and associates can book appointments and manage VIP experiences. It works with Shopify POS and Shopify Flow, plus Attentive, Gladly, Gorgias, Klaviyo and Ometria. The listing shows one plan: Pro at $350/month, listed per store location, with 1,000,000 customer records, 4,000 emails and 3,000 SMS a month, Appointments Pro (3 calendars) and Sales Chat Pro, after a 14-day free trial. Rated 4.7/5 from 17 reviews, Endear is worth a look if you sell in physical stores as well as online.
#10 HubSpot, Shopify customers and orders in HubSpot's Smart CRM
HubSpot's official app, published by HubSpot (Data Sync), connects your store to HubSpot's Smart CRM, marketing automation and customer engagement tools. It syncs Shopify customers, products and orders into HubSpot to build a single view of each customer, then uses that data for segmentation, automated email campaigns and sales and marketing reports. It also adds live chat to engage visitors and forms that sync leads to the CRM. HubSpot's knowledge base adds that the data sync is available on all HubSpot products and plans, covers contacts, companies (on Shopify Plus), products, orders and abandoned checkouts, and updates records within 10 minutes of a change, with orders synced one way from Shopify. The listing shows a free plan, Starter at $10/month ($84/year), Professional at $1,450/month and Enterprise at $4,700/month. The app, launched in October 2023, has 8 reviews so far (1.0/5). HubSpot is worth a look if your sales and marketing teams already work in HubSpot.
#11 Kommo, a messenger-based CRM with sales pipelines
Kommo is a messenger-based CRM with an AI agent and a sales pipeline. Its Shopify app brings your orders into Kommo's pipeline, keeps complete client information in lead profiles (contacts, tasks, notes, chats and calls), and connects WhatsApp, Instagram and other messengers to a unified inbox, with a chat button for your store. Salesbot and a chatbot builder automate sales conversations, and the AI agent answers questions about shipping, products, payments and policies. The Shopify Plan costs $25/month with lead and contact management, customizable sales stages and pipelines and messenger connections, after a 14-day free trial. The app, launched in September 2023, has 7 reviews so far (1.7/5). Kommo is worth a look if you manage orders or leads as deals that move through stages.
#12 Salesforce Sync by CRM Perks, Shopify customers and orders in Salesforce
Salesforce Sync, listed as CRM Perks: Salesforce Sync, is the Salesforce connector that Shopify's own CRM integration guide links to. It sends Shopify customers and orders to Salesforce automatically and lets you create an account, contact, lead or sales order, including from historical Shopify data. It supports all Salesforce field types as well as Web-to-Lead and Web-to-Case, keeps a log of everything it sends and notifies you when a sync fails. Segmentation, reporting and outreach then happen in Salesforce itself. Plans are priced by synced orders: Personal $19/month (100 orders, then $0.07 per order), Professional $29/month (300 orders, $0.05) and Developer $39/month (1,000 orders, $0.02), each with a 7-day free trial. The app, launched in 2020, has 2 reviews (5/5). Salesforce Sync is worth a look if your sales team already runs on Salesforce.
Connecting Salesforce, Zoho CRM, Pipedrive or monday.com
If your team already runs a CRM, you may only need a connector. Shopify's CRM integration guide notes that Salesforce connects to Shopify through third-party sync apps in the App Store, and the connectors we found for Zoho CRM, Pipedrive and monday.com are also published by third parties. All listings below were read on September 11, 2026.
- Zoho CRM. Zoho Sync by CRM Perks sends Shopify customers and orders to Zoho CRM, Bigin, Inventory, Books and Invoices, from $19/month for 100 orders. Skylio CRM Connector syncs orders, customers and products to Zoho CRM, Zoho Books, Zoho Inventory and Salesforce CRM, from $9.99/month for 100 orders, with custom field mapping on higher plans. Each has one review so far.
- Pipedrive. Pipedrive connector creates and updates Pipedrive contacts from Shopify customers (name, email and phone) for $4.99/month. It launched on August 26, 2026 and has no reviews yet.
- monday.com. The monday.com app by Keem syncs new orders, customers, abandoned carts, inventory levels, refunds and draft orders to monday.com for $50/month, plus monday.com seat charges. It is rated 5/5 from 26 reviews.
- Odoo. Odoo Integration by TechMarbles, Built for Shopify, syncs orders, products, inventory and customers with Odoo and sends abandoned checkouts to Odoo CRM as sales leads, from $35/month. It is rated 5/5 from 75 reviews.
A connector moves data. It does not talk to your customers. Check what it syncs (customers only, or orders and carts too), how often, and what each plan caps, then decide whether your team will really work in that CRM every day.
Shopify CRM App Pricing Compared (September 2026)
| App | Free plan | Entry price | Plans scale with | Usage fees on the listing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Kanal WhatsApp | Demo on request | $89/month | Users and features (1 user on Pro, 5 on Scale) | WhatsApp (Meta) fees at cost |
| Klaviyo | Yes (email up to 250 contacts, SMS up to 150 credits) | $15/month (SMS), $20/month (email) | Contacts and SMS credits | None listed |
| Gorgias | No (7-day free trial) | $10/month | Tickets per month | Extra tickets ($0.40 each on Starter) |
| ActiveCampaign | No (14-day free trial) | $19/month | Plan tier (5 users on Enterprise) | None listed |
| Wizybot | Yes (30 AI messages) | $69.99/month | AI messages and comments | $0.07 per AI message above the plan |
| Scout CRM | Yes (100 abandoned checkout alerts) | $9/month | Features (Basic, Pro) | None listed |
| edrone | Yes | $49/month | Not detailed on the listing | None listed |
| Kustomer | No (free to install) | $89/user/month | Users | None listed |
| Endear | No (14-day free trial) | $350/month | Store locations | None listed |
| HubSpot | Yes | $10/month | Plan tier (up to $4,700/month) | None listed |
| Kommo | No (14-day free trial) | $25/month | One plan on the listing | None listed |
| Salesforce Sync by CRM Perks | No (7-day free trial) | $19/month | Synced orders | $0.02 to $0.07 per extra order |
Two patterns stand out. Klaviyo prices by contacts and SMS credits, Gorgias by tickets, Kustomer by users and the connectors by synced orders, so the cheapest entry plan is not always the cheapest after a year of growth. Kanal works differently: a flat monthly plan from $89 (Scale at $149/month with 5 users and segments) plus WhatsApp fees at cost, with no hidden per-message markup and no commitment.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the best CRM for Shopify?
For most Shopify brands that sell and support through conversations, we recommend Kanal. It is a WhatsApp CRM: each contact profile shows Shopify order history, total spend, tags and past conversations, your team shares one inbox, and follow-ups start from events such as a first order or 60 days of inactivity, from $89/month. If email and SMS drive your marketing, Klaviyo, ActiveCampaign and edrone are worth a look. If your sales team already works in HubSpot or Salesforce, the HubSpot app or a Salesforce sync app keeps customers and orders in the CRM you use. The WhatsApp CRM page shows Kanal's version.
Does Shopify offer a CRM?
Shopify's admin includes the basics of a CRM. Every customer who places an order is added to your customer list, and each customer profile holds orders, contact details, notes, tags, marketing settings and a timeline. Customer segments are dynamic, rule-based lists built from filters such as amount spent, number of orders or location. For more, Shopify's own CRM integration guide points to apps in the Shopify App Store, such as HubSpot, Salesforce sync apps, Zoho CRM, Endear and Klaviyo. CRM apps add conversation history, team workflows such as assignment or pipelines, and automated follow-ups on top of that data.
Is Shopify a CRM or a CMS?
Neither, strictly. Shopify describes itself as a commerce platform that helps you sell online and in person. It includes an online store editor and themes to build your storefront, plus customer management in the admin: customer profiles with orders, notes and tags, and rule-based customer segments. If you need a full CRM, you connect one from the Shopify App Store, from HubSpot or a Salesforce sync app to a WhatsApp CRM like Kanal.
Which CRM is best to integrate with Shopify?
It depends on where your team talks to customers. If it happens on WhatsApp, Kanal keeps each conversation next to the Shopify order and triggers follow-ups from Shopify events. If your sales team uses HubSpot, its official app syncs Shopify customers, products, orders and abandoned checkouts. Salesforce and Zoho CRM connect through third-party sync apps such as Salesforce Sync by CRM Perks or Skylio. For email and SMS marketing, Klaviyo syncs Shopify data in milliseconds and builds AI-powered segments. Our best e-commerce CRM guide compares CRMs beyond Shopify apps.
What are the top 3 CRM tools?
Shopify's CRM integration guide names HubSpot, Salesforce and Zoho CRM among the major CRM players on the Shopify App Store, and calls Klaviyo Shopify's CRM partner for over a decade. Among the apps in this comparison, the three with the most Shopify reviews on September 11, 2026 are Klaviyo (3,290), Gorgias (705) and ActiveCampaign (259). For Shopify brands that sell through conversations, our pick is Kanal, the WhatsApp CRM that puts Shopify data inside every chat.
How much does a Shopify CRM app cost?
Several apps have a free plan: HubSpot, Wizybot (30 AI messages), Scout CRM (100 abandoned checkout alerts), edrone, and Klaviyo for email up to 250 contacts. Entry plans range from $9/month (Scout CRM) and $10/month (HubSpot Starter, Gorgias Starter) to $350/month (Endear), and Kustomer bills from $89 per user per month. Top plans reach $1,450/month for HubSpot Professional. Kanal starts at $89/month with WhatsApp fees passed through at cost, and segments start on Scale at $149/month. Compare plans on Kanal pricing.
Expert Recommendation
For most Shopify brands in 2026, we recommend Kanal WhatsApp as the CRM your team actually works in. Each contact profile shows Shopify order history, total spend, tags and past conversations, the shared inbox keeps the team on one WhatsApp number, and follow-ups start from a first order, a VIP purchase or 60 days of inactivity. The same account runs abandoned cart recovery, WhatsApp campaigns and automations, so the customer record and the next message live in one place. If email carries most of your marketing, keep Klaviyo for email and sync its segments to Kanal. If your sales team lives in HubSpot or Salesforce, connect it for pipeline and reporting, and keep WhatsApp for conversations. Start with one segment, such as repeat buyers or customers inactive for 60 days, measure the replies and orders, then extend. See the WhatsApp CRM page, compare plans on Kanal pricing and book a demo. For support tools and email platforms, see our customer service apps and email marketing apps comparisons.
