LinkDM is an Instagram automation tool for creators: when someone comments on a post or Reel, it replies with a DM that carries your link. On October 11, 2026, its pricing page displayed three plans, Free at $0, Pro at $19 a month and Platinum+ at $99 a month, each limited by a number of DMs sent per month.
This review reads LinkDM's own pages (home page, pricing page and FAQ) as they stood on October 11, 2026: what the tool does, what each plan includes, what its pages do not cover, and five alternatives in a table. If you sell on Shopify and want DMs that draw on your catalog, Kanal's Instagram DM automation is one of them.

What is LinkDM?
In its own FAQ, LinkDM is "an Instagram marketing platform" that automatically sends DMs to anyone who comments on your Reels, posts, ads, Lives or stories, or who writes to your inbox. The stated goal is to help creators raise affiliate revenue, blog views and website traffic by sending links in DMs, where followers find them easily.
Its home page calls it an AutoDM platform for creators and names the audiences it addresses: fashion, food, beauty and travel creators, affiliate creators, podcasters, realtors and non-profit organizations, among others. It also lists media brands and retailers among its users.
Two points about how it connects, from the same pages:
- It goes through Meta. LinkDM says it has been a certified Meta Business Partner since 2021 and that it uses the official Instagram APIs only. Its FAQ states that it never asks for your Instagram password.
- It needs a Facebook login. The FAQ explains that the Instagram API requires you to log in with Facebook and attach both your Instagram account and its connected Facebook Page.
What does each LinkDM plan include?
Free
The Free plan connects 1 Instagram account and sends up to 1,000 DMs a month. The comparison table on the pricing page lists what it includes: post and Reel automation, story auto-reply, story mention auto-reply, the Next Post feature (which prepares the DM for a post you have not published yet), inbox conversation starters, Facebook auto-reply and the share-to-inbox trigger. No credit card is required.
Pro
Pro, at $19 a month, connects up to 3 Instagram accounts and sends up to 25,000 DMs a month. It adds what the Free plan does not have:
- removal of LinkDM branding from the DMs,
- comment auto-reply, a public reply under the comment once the DM has been sent,
- lead generation, which captures an email address in the chat,
- the DM Planner, to draft DMs for scheduled posts,
- universal triggers, which apply across several placements,
- Rewind, which sends DMs back to eligible earlier comments,
- inbox automation, replies to comments on ads and during Lives,
- a follower growth tool and priority support.

Platinum+
Platinum+, at $99 a month, raises the limits to 10 Instagram accounts and 300,000 DMs a month. The comparison table reserves three items for it: a high volume rate limiter, a DM overflow queue and early access to new features. One detail to confirm with LinkDM before you choose: Slow Down Mode appears on the Pro plan card, while the comparison table shows it under Platinum+ only.
What happens at the send limit?
LinkDM's FAQ says it applies a conservative DM send limit, in line with Instagram's developer guidelines, to avoid rate limits. When the limit is reached within an hour, DMs on Pro are queued and sent at the start of the next hour. On Free, sending resumes at the start of the next hour, for new comments only.
What LinkDM does not cover, according to its own pages
A review is also about what is absent. From the pages read on October 11, 2026:
- No channel beyond Instagram and Facebook. The FAQ says the software only works with these two platforms. WhatsApp, TikTok, SMS and email are not part of it.
- No link-in-bio page. LinkDM says it does not offer a link-in-bio service: it sends your links in DMs instead.
- No AI agent listed. The feature list on the home page and the pricing table describe triggers, templates, flows and coupons. They do not list an AI that writes answers to open questions.
- No store integration listed. The integrations named on the home page connect lead forms to Kit and Flodesk, two email tools. The pages do not mention a Shopify catalog, cart or order sync.
- No contact-based pricing. The limit is a number of DMs, not a number of people. That is a difference with ManyChat, not a gap.
None of this is a flaw: it is the scope of a tool built for creators who send links. It matters if you expected something else.
Which Meta rules apply to LinkDM?
The same as for every tool on the official API. Meta's page on private replies, updated June 30, 2026, allows one message to a person who commented, within 7 days of the comment. A follow-up is possible only if that person responds, and within 24 hours of the response. This is why a comment-to-DM message usually ends with a button or a question.
Our comment-to-DM guide explains how to write that first message, and our guide to Instagram auto reply covers the 24-hour window in detail.

How we built this list. The tools are listed from their public pages read on October 11, 2026, and described in their vendors' own terms. ManyChat comes first as the category leader, and Kanal is our product.
1. ManyChat
ManyChat presents itself as an Instagram automation platform for creators and social-first businesses, and as an official Meta Business Partner. Where LinkDM counts DMs, ManyChat counts active contacts: on its pricing page on October 11, 2026, Free covered 25 active contacts a month, Essential ($17 a month) 250 and Pro ($39 a month) 2,500, on monthly billing. It adds channels LinkDM does not have, including WhatsApp and TikTok, and a Flow Builder for longer conversations. Our ManyChat pricing guide details the grid.
2. Kanal
Kanal is our Shopify app for WhatsApp and SMS marketing, and it automates Instagram through Meta's official messaging API. Its Instagram automation page lists comment-to-DM on posts and Reels, auto replies to DMs and story reactions, and AI answers to product questions from your Shopify catalog, with a buy link. Products, carts and orders are synced, Instagram and WhatsApp share one inbox, and a follower can join your WhatsApp list with a one-tap opt-in. Instagram automation is included in Kanal's plans, from $89 a month, and the AI agent is on the Scale plan at $149 a month.
3. Inrō
Inrō describes itself as an "AI-powered Instagram DM automation tool" and displays the Meta Tech Provider badge. Its pricing page, in euros on October 11, 2026, showed Free at €0 for 100 active contacts a month and Pro from €12.99, with a price that scales with the contacts you activate. It lists an AI agent, DM campaigns and a CRM.
4. CreatorFlow
CreatorFlow sums itself up as "Comment to DM, automatically". Like LinkDM, it bills by DMs: its pricing page on October 11, 2026 showed Free at $0 for 1 account and 500 automated DMs a month, Pro at $15 a month for 2 accounts and 5,000 DMs per workspace, and Growth at $30 a month for 5 accounts.
5. Chatfuel
Chatfuel calls itself "an AI chatbot platform for WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook". Its pricing page on October 11, 2026 showed one Business plan at US$20 a month on monthly billing (US$18 billed yearly), with automatic replies to post and Reels comments and US$20 of AI credits a month.

How do you know if LinkDM fits your case?
Answer four questions before you sign up.
- What do you send? If the answer is "a link, to the people who ask for it under my Reels", you are in the case LinkDM describes on its home page.
- How many DMs in your busiest month? Count the comments on your most active posts and compare with 1,000, 25,000 and 300,000.
- Do you need another channel? If WhatsApp or TikTok is part of your plan, LinkDM's FAQ already answers no.
- Do answers depend on your catalog? If followers ask about sizes, stock or delivery, look at tools that list an AI agent and a store integration.
